I agree with Jess some people are in to it some aren't. I never was in to it on myself and probably never will be. i do think it's hot on other people though.

by bbdodger ini love to login to myspace and see if i can find some ex-jws, or active jws from (my) cong., or ones that i knew from other congs.. i came across a profile of someone i knew, who was in the same congregation.
her name isn't particularly common, and there is a resemblance, so i think it's most likely the girl who i went to kh with.. she says she's "atheist", and has a tattoos on her face, piercings, and her profile is decorated with naked women.

by buffalosrfree inanyone have anything to comment or add to or rfor the bs this week the supposed talk resolutions nonsense off the twenties in ridculous for anyone to believe but people just sit there and suck it up.
when i have asked for what proof that these resolutions had anything to do with revelation i get no response but instead get marked as a doubted or troublemaker.
i would love to have some back ground for tonights study.

Tell them you want to see a copy of The Finished Mystery since it says there are revelations about revelations in it. Or at least the old one said that. Also ask why after the great cleansing that happend in 1919 Witnesses still celebrated Christmas and did other "wrong" teachings like used the cross up until the 40's or 50's? What exactly got cleansed?

Looking back there was an elder that took a shining to me, and he often overtly showed doubts. He would never use WT or Awake! mags and would only use his bible or the live on earth tract. He would also encourage me to go out and live, not to be overly concerned with the Truth. He had all these crazy stories about what he did in the 20's and 30's. I think thats just an old school J-dub for you. Of course he is dead now, but he was a major influence in my thinking growing up. One funny thing is he wouldn't curse he would say something really old like, "a wham blammy that one!".

Yea but shunning is still shunning. If they are not shunning you why would you want to shun them? You have to know they will try to "advertise advertise advertise" anytime you are not around. Even though they shouldn't I don't think you should completely cut them off.
